Couple convicted of manslaughter in child's death
SEGUIN — A Schertz couple has been sentenced to three years in state prison after being convicted of manslaughter and injury to a child in the death of their 8-year-old daughter.
After a 5 1/2 hour hearing Wednesday afternoon, 274th District Judge Gary L. Steel set punishment at a three-year term in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for David N. Brasse, 37, and Samantha Britain Brasse, 34, who were found guilty in a jury trial that ended April 11.
